Finding the guru

The word guru means in sanskrit-heavy: heavy with knowledge. Unfortunately, the modern world does not believe in knowledge. A Christian or Jew or Moslem or any other religion-if you ask them-what is the soul?- they cannot answer. What is God, again some vague and meaningless answer. Then how is that knowledge? In fact, people are wandering without knowledge. They cannot even approach someone with knowledge as they do not believe in the existence of such a person. Searching with humility however, and true earnest desire to find the answer whatever it is, if we are fortunate, we shall meet such a person. By hearing that person only we can get the knowledge. Something happens during this encounter which awakens faith or in sanskrit, sraddha. This faith brought about by contact with an advanced soul is real, direct experience of the soul. Thus begins the journey...
